Unfortunately Peziza erythrostigma Berk. & Br. is invalid because the name was earlier used by Montagne for an operculate fungus today placed in Octosporella. Therefore the first new combination, Lachnella erythrostigma Berk & Br. ex W. Phillips is the basionym of this species. See art. 53.1 & 58.1 ( Vienna code)
